What keeps me on the edge of my seat? Rowing. For me this sport is about highs and lows, good seasons and tough ones, and no matter what I push through because I have a passion for rowing. Rowing is my point of clarity and my happy place when life gets challenging. The sport keeps me consistent and disciplined, and better yet I get to share it with my teammates who are like family to me.
My dedication to rowing also transfers through to my educational goals. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA and have a huge passion for science. Two years ago I was accepted into an elite Bioscience Academy and have a passion to bring my love of science into a field where I can help others. I was born in Honduras and while I grew up in the states, I visit Honduras often where my family and I are passionate about helping kids who live on the streets, at the dump, or who are orphans. While I might be small in stature, I am a force as a Coxswain and team leader. I am excited to see what's ahead of me and how I can further my education and continue to do the sport I have the most passion for.
