I am a self-motivated and intense rower with a height of 5'9" and a wingspan of 5'10". I have impressive cardio and stamina and thrive in a competitive environment. I'm often asked by my coaches to compete in multiple races on the same day because they know I don't tire out quickly and I can't get enough of my time on the water. My goals are to continue improving my technique on the water, lowering my erg score, rowing all four years of college competitively, and having a lifelong connection to rowing.
Having lived abroad early in my education in Switzerland and Mexico, I have a worldview on diversity, equity, and inclusion. I am interested in studying in the field of medicine so that I can help bring access to quality care and compassion to all people. In crew, I am a versatile team member, able to steer, row port, starboard, scull, and I have a lot of experience in singles, doubles, pairs, quads, fours, and eights. I am meticulous when it comes to technique and preparation. I believe that investing in preparation and practice always pays off in the long run for academics or regattas. What you would hear from my teammates or classmates is quite consistent. I have a positive attitude that sets the tone even in difficult situations, I put in the effort to persevere through any obstacles, and I lead by example. I have high expectations of myself and others but with a helping hand to support others in their pursuit of personal excellence. And oh, by the way, I love to laugh and have fun along the way!
