Genevieve Alexander '24 Recruiting Profile

After trying out so many different sports, I kept coming back to rowing. It is truly the only sport that has every made me feel so much passion. There is something about how when the boat is perfectly in time or your erging and you are so tired but hungry for more so you push on; that's so intoxicating. Every practice is a chance to get faster; a chance to be better and we can not afford to waste it. I started rowing in 8th grade and I knew that this is what I wanted to do in college. My freshman year I was selected for the U19 USRowing Olympic Development Program for the South East which I unfortunately could not attend. I hope to go in my sophomore year (this current year), and I also want to be captain of my high-school team next year( my junior year).
