Personal Statement

I am eager, independent, and passionate. My goal is to pursue rowing while also striving for greatness in academics, and completing my college experience with flying colors. I am excited to start the next chapter of my life, and embark on a journey that will challenge me mentally and physically. Pain and the success that follows is my forte.

When I first heard about rowing 3 years ago, I was very unfamiliar with the sport, but I took a leap of faith. I praise myself for the decision now, because rowing has given me so many opportunities to meet new people, defy my own expectations and capabilities, and grow exponentially. I believe that my love for rowing and competitive drive has made me a good teammate and Team Captain for the Sweeps and Sculls Rowing Club. I believe that would translate to a collegiate level as well.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
