Personal Statement
I am a college athlete graduating in the year 2022 looking for the opportunity to row as a grad student. Due to COVID-19, and the NCAA granting all spring season athletes an extra year of eligibility, I would love the option to row during a year of graduate school. As an undergraduate I am pursuing a degree in Health Science at the University of Miami. I would then like to get a graduate degree in something business-related. I am an international student and I had no exposure to rowing in high school. I walked onto the team at Miami and enjoyed it. This meant that I had a lot of technical catching up to do compared to several of my team-mates. I believe that my ability to take criticism and understand and learn from it is what has helped me get to where I am today. I still have lots of learning to do in all aspects of the sport but I have, and will continue working hard to reach my potential.
