My goal at university is two fold: to participate in the University Rowing Squad, and to obtain a good pass academically in my chosen field. My rowing aspirations include rowing in the World U23 Championships for my country Zimbabwe, as well as rowing for my university. My academic aim is to get a good pass in a scientific based undergrad degree so that I can continue to do a Masters in Sports Medicine. At this stage I would like to study muscles and their efficiencies in sports.
I am an extremely hard working, very focused person who is able to set my mind on a task and complete it with determination. I enjoy a new challenge and am good at encouraging others to step up to the plate - I enjoy encouraging others to better themselves. This makes me a leader as well as a team player.
I am a strong person who believes in working with integrity. I am a well rounded person in that I am interested in my community (and serving those less fortunate than myself), and I manage my athletics and my academics well. Academically I am in the top half of my class (currently studying Cambridge A Level.) I have very good time management skills which have enabled me to spend several hours each day training as well as participating in a full school curriculum and a number of different clubs (Interact, Debate, Science Club and JIFE.)
This makes me the ideal candidate for a university rowing team.
