After playing competitive soccer for many years, I fell in love with rowing after a Learn to Row session in Summer of 2022. That winter, I decided to focus on rowing full time and quickly moved from the junior rowing program to the high performance team in Spring 2023.
I have competed in every boat from singles to eights and can confidently both sweep and scull. My current 2k is 7:51 and my 6k is currently 25:14. I am continuing to work to improve these times and improve my technique on water in both sculling and sweeping.
I am a good candidate for your school’s team because I am extremely positive and an excellent teammate. I give each piece my all and am constantly working to refine my technique.
I am currently in Grade 11 and my current average is over 90%. My favourite subject is English and I plan to pursue a degree in law. My current goals as a rower is to get faster both on water and on the erg and improve my technique in both sweeping and sculling.
