Becoming a coxswain my eighth grade year was an unexpected, yet amazing process which changed my life for the better. Through the four years I have been on my crew team, I have gained an understanding of advocation, commitment, teamwork, and competition. I am hardworking, focused, and am able to adjust well in varying circumstances, making clear, thought out calls that benefit my crew. I believe that I am a great recruit for college not only because of my commitment and advocation but also because of my ability to think outside the box. Additionally, I am able to communicate with my rowers and gain mutual respect: characteristics that brought me to the finals for the Men’s U23 Lightweight 4+ at club nationals in 2018. My goal for the recruiting process is to cox at the highest level I can while in a great environment in and out of practice.
