My name is Lauren Nuccitelli I am currently attending E. L. Crossley Secondary School, graduating class 2019. I currently hold a 3.6 GPA and finished both Gr.9, 10 & 11 with honours. I have been rowing for 6 years and competing competitively for 4. I am 5'6", I weigh 130 pounds, I am primarily a lightweight rower, I have been competing as a lightweight athelte for the duration of my athletic career, however I am considering moving up to an open weight class, post secondary. I've rowed with South Niagara Rowing Club, St. Catharines Rowing Club as well as Niagara Falls Rowing Club during various summer and fall seasons. In addition I row for my high school during the spring and winter seasons. I reside with my strongly supportive parents Sandra and Tino, and younger brother Scott.
Throughout my high school years, I have been highly involved with many programs and organizations including Link Crew (mentoring program for incoming students), Athletic Council, School Ambassador (student council) and leadership programs. As well as working part time for my family business and the retail store Roots.
My peers and educators, along with my parents would consider me to be highly dedicated, strongly driven, goal oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills. I would address myself to be the one who takes charge of any given situation and leads the group to fulfil the task at hand. In many cases, my coaches rely heavily on my mentorship towards incoming athletes and new teammates.
I am looking for an institution, that balances both academics and athletics. I am very interested in a school that would allow for a major in Law and Legal Studies while also having the option for Political Science as an undergraduate. Ideally I would like a school in the South, West or Central United States, although I am open to other opportunities. Post secondary I would like to be highly involved and competitive at the a level best suited to my ability, on a team that I would become a great asset to. Also school camaraderie and student body spirit is very important to myself for my university/college experience.
