Throughout my primary and high school years of education, I wasn’t certain about what I really wanted to do or be. I changed from ballet to rhythmic gymnastics and then to swimming. Swimming was the first sport I really felt competitive in, and when I chose to join rowing, I only became more passionate about the sport of rowing. Not only do I want to push myself in the sport every day, but I enjoy it so much, which is something I struggled with in the past. To row in college would further my passion and ambitions. I started rowing late, only less than a year ago, which has only pushed me more to try and become a better athlete in such a short time, and to row in college, I could continue to grow and push myself.
Throughout my educational years, I have pushed myself to work harder and become a better student. I have worked to pursue leadership skills by being appointed to leadership roles in my class. It has helped me grow, and skills have strengthened, some of which I use daily, especially in sport leadership roles. My school offers the IB program, which I have always been intimidated by, so I have taken IB classes to push myself out of my comfort zone.
I want to continue to grow and pursue my goals, and to continue to row in college is something I would work hard in and continue to push myself in every day.
