I swam competitively from ages 7-14 and was introduced to rowing during the pandemic. After all of the pools were closed and my teams could no longer practice, my mom (who had rowed in high school and college) bought a used single and taught me and my sisters how to row. I took a learn to row course the next summer going into my freshman year and have loved it ever since. I am a dedicated athlete that is willing to put in hard work, am involved in many different school activities, and love to learn and help others. I have rowed for three fall seasons, and one spring season finishing as a part of the 13th U17 8+ in the country. I have pushed through mental and physical block, in addition to working incredibly hard on my technique and strength both on and off the water. I plan to row for the rest of high school and hopefully in college as well.
