People often say their college goals are to get into the best top school, make many friends, and be successful. I want to make a change. In people's lives and in my team. I want my team to come together and actually work as one. I want to make a change overall in the world and in the sport that I play. I am headstrong and although I may be stressed in some situations, like when my cox box was broken during my first ever regatta, I push through and put on my brave face before I face the challenge. Because I believe the biggest mistake a person can make is to give up before they even try. The worst mistake a person can make is failing the ones they care for most due to their lack of mental capacity weighing down their actions. I ended up winning that regatta, not because I pulled myself together for me, but because I pulled myself together for my team. I apply this mentality to my daily actions in academics, just because I fail one test doesnt mean I cant clap back for the next and fix my mistake. I do believe mistakes lead to failure, but that failure can be used as an example of a mistake that is guaranteed to never be done again.
