Hi coaches! My name is Campbell and I'm a Homeschooler from Chesapeake Va. I’ve worked since 2019 to be the best rower that I can be. In my most recent years on the varsity team, I truly learned how to push myself and develop that grit a rower needs to have. What sets me apart from other girls out on the water is my perseverance. I'm not one of the fastest girls on the water, but that only drives me to be harder and step up my game every chance I get. I'm a reliable teammate on and off the water and with all my years on a team, I've discovered how important that can be. It takes more than just speed to be a good rower, but also a good teammate that coaches can depend on, novices can learn from, and varsity can trust. It's difficult to be homeschooled and compete with scholastic rowers on a team, but I have learned how to overcome that. While I'm unable to go to scholastic races and events, that doesn't stop me from going above and beyond for the races I can be at. I also am unable to take AP or Honors classes, but I'm currently taking dual-enrollment courses at my local community college, and challenging myself by taking harder courses at home. I hope you consider me as a future rower!
