Hello! My name is Caroline Forbes. I am a 3-time Youth Nationals qualifying rower, having competed in the US Rowing Youth National Regattas in 2022 (U16 2x, U19 4-), 2023 (U19 4-) and 2024 (U19 2-). In 2024, my U19 pair placed 6th place in the A-final. I have verbally committed to row for Coach Cupini at University of Tennessee beginning fall of 2025.
A little more about me. I am an exceptionally motivated and fiercely competitive athlete who is extremely dedicated to preparing myself to compete at the highest level in the sport of rowing. I began rowing as a 14 year old freshman in the U16 division during the fall of 2021 and quickly earned recognition from my coaches and teammates for my reliability and tenacity. Despite being a 14 year old novice, I excelled and became one of the fastest on my team. I was placed in the first varsity W4- and a U17x for the 2022 mid-Atlantic regionals, where we qualified for nationals in both events. During that regatta, I was also asked to sub into the novice W8+, which was my 3rd race of the day. That season, my coaches awarded me Most Valuable Rower and my teammates presented me with the 'Beast Mode' award for having the toughest competitive spirit. I am now 16 and have competed in two Youth Nationals regattas in 3 boats. Most recently, I qualified for the 2024 Youth Nationals regatta by placing 3rd in the Women's pair at Mid-Atlantic Regionals. My partner and I competed in Youth Nationals in Sarasota in June '24 where we qualified for the A-final and placed 6th overall in the nation. I was awarded the Women's Most Valuable Rower by my teammates and coaches following the Spring 2024 season.
