2021 SpotlightOver the many years of playing competitive soccer, I feel it has taught me the values of teamwork and commitment. I have been a starter for Southside High School's varsity team since my eighth grade year. As a team we have made it to the state tournament three years in a row. Each time we have failed to bring home a first place trophy. From this experience, I have learned that it is not going to be easy. This has only pushed me to further my skills within the game, and improve my character on and off the field. I am a very versatile player and take constructive criticism especially well. Aside from soccer my main priority is to achieve the highest possible grades by working as hard as I can in the classroom. I am currently maintaining a 3.68 GPA, and hope to have a 4.0 by the end of my junior year.
I have always found my other passions to be cross country and track. I am a three time all-state athlete for cross country. In track, I am a three time all-state athlete in the 1600 meter, a two time all-state in the 800 meter and 3200 meter. I also finished third overall at the Alabama State Track Championship in the 800 meter sprint, with a time of 2:24. After high school, my goal is to attend a college where I can showcase my talents as a player, my hard work ethic as a student, and my character as a person. I hope to have the opportunity to attend a school that will not only be a good fit for me athletically, but also academically.
