Personal Statement

As a student athlete I strive to receive the best education and be in a top soccer program. I have been dreaming since as early as grade 3 to play for a University and, eventually a professional soccer team. I want to take soccer as far as I possibly can but I also want to have a high education for when my competitive soccer career is complete, which is the main reason I want to play for a University or College team.

I have always been a competitive person, ever since I was little my fear of losing has driven me to win, and work harder than anyone else. I have been playing soccer for over 12 years, and with each season I learn different things about myself and the sport; like how I prefer outdoor soccer rather than indoor, how I'm not a very good goalie, and how my love for the game is what keeps me motivated and excelling with everything else in my life.

I am very dedicated to everything that I do and put 110% effort and focus into everything. As a student I have been on the honour roll from grade 7 through 10, taking all dash 1 courses.  As an athlete, I have had many amazing opportunities and experiences in some of the highest levels in soccer, and have had very high-level coaches and trainers helping me along the way. I have the game sense, speed, and ball skill, to make an impact on games by dictating the pace of the play, and controlling the offensive side of the game. As a Central Midfield, I have adapted to play very well under pressure, and have the perseverance to overcome any obstacles in my path towards my dreams. I want to one day look back at everything I have accomplished as a soccer player and know that I have done anything, and everything possible to make a life and career out of the game that I love.
