Ever since I was little, I wanted to be so good at something that others couldn't ignore me. That, as well as my love to win and hate for losing, are probably the biggest factors that push me to strive to be the best version of myself daily. Throughout my life time, I have competed in high levels in multiple sports. Each one though, has taught me something important. Whether it's to persevere in the middle of a tough situation, the importance of teamwork, or that hard work pays off no matter what, I have been led to a better understanding and appreciation of different sports.
I have always loved the game of soccer and have always insisted the need to get touches on the ball everyday. I also believe in the importance of practising with the same intensity as you would play a soccer game with. Having parents who both grew up playing the game has been a big part of my love for soccer and how I perceive the sport. Whenever I train or am playing a game, I always love to challenge myself to learn something new and be better than I am right now. Competing in the college level is a challenge that I am willing to work hard for. I've been able to challenge myself to learn, experience, and play each position on the field which also has given me a deeper understanding of the roles and responsibilities of each player during the duration of the game.
I've always held high standards for myself in everything I do, especially school. Throughout my school years, my grades have been above average, and I have always pushed myself to study hard to keep them there. Being on multiple sports teams at once can be a challenge to keep organised with homework and studying, but with the help and support of my parents and teachers, I have learnt how important time management is, and if my grades aren't good, I can't play the sports I enjoy the most.
