My name is Sydney Rydzak and I am a goalie from a small town called San Tan Valley, AZ. I grew up in Tucson, AZ, and I am the first person in my family going to college. I am 5’7 and weigh in at about 145 lbs. I have been a starter on San Tan Foothills High School’s varsity soccer team for the past 4 years now and was recognized as Most Valuable Player my freshman year. I am driven by education and think it is important to work just as hard in the classroom as you do on the field. I have been an AP/honors student since the beginning of my schooling and have a 3.75 unweighted GPA, and a 4.25 weighted, along with being apart of the top 10% percent of my class each year. A huge passion of mine for the past four years has been leading my HOSA chapter, while incorporating different leadership concepts into everything I do. I anticipate going to a university that excels in athletic training or the medical field, with a different setting and feel than my hometown. Ideally, I see myself continuing my soccer career at a Division II college, with little out of pocket cost. However, I am open to any opportunities that will allow me to play the sport I am most passionate about, soccer. My biggest goal as an athlete is to make a great contribution to my team and create an unbreakable bond with my peers that will benefit me in the future of my career.
