Caleigh Cunning '22 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I was 4, and my parents signed me up for a soccer team in my local club, I have been in love with the game. Soccer has given me amazing opportunities and helped me to grow as a person. Hard work and pushing myself on and off the field have been two of the key factors in my successes so far, managing to make my school varsity team in 9th grade, playing a year up, on a top-level team in the city, and receiving numerous academic awards, to name a few. Even though soccer and my athletics are very important to me, my academics are one of the most significant things and I am consistently a high-performing student-athlete. I love to take on new challenges, that’s why I am a student in the prestigious IB Diploma Program. The obstacles and experiences I have gained so far being an elite athlete while balancing my academics in a world-renowned college preparatory program have given me the skills I believe are critical to thriving in a college athletic and academic environment, and my experience with this makes me an ideal candidate for your team. As for my post-secondary academic aspirations, I am not quite sure which major I am interested in yet, but I love the STEM fields and hope to continue my learning within that. In my community, I am involved in numerous school clubs, volunteering opportunities and service as I know there are tons of advantages of extracurriculars, and these have helped me to become a well-rounded person.
