Hello, my name is Andreas Chan. Currently I am a High School Student at McMath Secondary, and will be a 2022 graduate. I have played soccer since I was 10 and I have been loving the sport ever since. I currently play for the RUSC 2004 Metro team as a center midfielder and winger. In 2019, we as a team placed second in provincials. In 2020, due to the pandemic the provincials were canceled, however during the regular season we were able to maintain an undefeated title.
One of the many things I enjoy about soccer is the relationships you build with your teammates. The wins and losses we go through, help us strengthen our teamwork, skills, and friendships. I love continually learning about the sport, and trying to improve my skills as a player on and off the field. Aside from standard practice and games, oftentimes I like to go to the field myself and work on skills or techniques that could take my ability to the next level.
In the near future, I hope to be studying Kinesiology while also playing on a university team. I would love the chance to connect with any university and learn more about it! Your time in reading this personal statement is greatly appreciated!
