Courtney Chen '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Courtney Chen and I am in the class of 2022, at Carlmont High School, in Belmont, California. I love soccer and have been playing for 10 years. It has always been a goal of mine to play soccer, at the college level. I am looking for a school that will challenge me athletically and academically. Athletically, I am a very coachable and versatile player who can play many different positions; my preferred position is as an outside midfielder or winger where I can utilize my technical ability and speed but, I can also play as an attacking midfielder or forward. I am a well-rounded athlete; in addition to soccer, I play basketball for my high school team. Academically, I am a strong student with a weighted GPA of 3.97, with a strong interest in science and technology; in my sophomore year, I applied for, and was accepted, to the Biotechnology Institute, at Carlmont. I am interested in pursuing a major in the life sciences.
