When I first started playing soccer at the age of five, I never knew it would transform my personality in to a hard-working, self-motivated, leader who appreciates the value of team work and cooperation. Through soccer, I have learned the core values of what it means to be dedicated and committed to something despite the other distractions in my life. Soccer has taught me how to balance school, social life, and volunteering. Because of soccer, I have pushed myself to earn excellent grades in school. I have consistently ventured out of my comfort zone, allowing me to become the youngest President of Key Club International at my high school during my freshman year. It has forced me to become a more outgoing person and demonstrate my leadership skills both on the field and off.
In college, I plan to graduate in four years while maintaining excellent grades. I would like to find a school that has a challenging academic program and also has a committed soccer program. I am looking for a team atmosphere that is inviting to people from all over the country. I envision myself going to a college where I can have a strong impact on the field as well as in the school community.
