Ava Johner '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi and welcome to my page! My name is Ava Johner and I'm a 2024 graduate from Costa Mesa, California. I am a 5'10 Center Back and also have experience playing Defensive Mid. Academically, I am open to majors but am looking into science or math careers. I play for SoCal Blues 06s NPL and am excited to continue my playing career in college.My team won NPL regionals and will be competing at Nationals in July 2023 in Colorado. What I look forward to most is training and competing at the highest level possible. I love soccer so much and can't imagine being done when I graduate high school. The ocean is my happy place where I love to boogie board, and I love eating seafood! Fun fact, I am ALL ABOUT the 80s!!!  My family jokes that I was born in the wrong decade. My favorite movie is The Breakfast Club and I love making playlists of all genres. I consider myself a singer...when I'm alone. My family loves sports and both my parents were Division I student-athletes. My Mom was a soccer player at UC Irvine and my Dad was a Quarterback at Kansas.
