During the 6 years that I have played this sport, I was given the opportunity to be captain of my team. This allowed me to help others succeed and also improve my leadership skills. In my freshman and sophomore year I was a tri-sport varsity athlete and I also played club soccer outside of school. During that time I was able to maintain a 3.6 accumulative GPA. At the end of my sophomore year I began to focus 100% on only school and soccer for college.
I am currently a part of the Athletic Training Program, the ASB Club and the Red Cross Club at school. I have been a soccer referee for the past 4 years which has improved my knowledge of the rules and the game in general. When I am not on the soccer field, I enjoy babysitting as well as volunteering with a group known as Big Animals For Little Kids. I have been apart of this foundation since 2004. The people in the foundation host charity events at hospitals, local parks, and businesses for children suffering with cancer and other illnesses, foster children and their families, along with mid to young adults who suffer from autism and other disorders.
I think I can bring a lot to a team on and off the field, not only with my dedication and athleticism, but with my hard work in school, eagerness to learn and drive to succeed in every way possible.
