Over the past 12 years of playing soccer, the main idea that I have learned is to recognize that I am a part of something bigger than myself: a team. Through people I have met, whether it be coaches or peers, I have grown so much not only as a player, but as a person. I have learned the value of hard-work, determination, and perseverance and how far it can take an individual.
In high school, I hope to maintain a GPA of 4.0 or above for all 4 years and to set myself up for the greatest chance of success in my future. As for soccer goals, I want to graduate with a CIF championship under my belt and be recognized as a player who truly influenced and led the team. As a sophomore, my varsity team made it to the CIF final, but it is still my goal to win it! This experience, though the loss was devastating, allowed me to grow stronger and have the will to work harder for my team and the people, like my family, who support me endlessly.
I believe that what I can offer a team is confidence and leadership. Even if I am new to a team, I am not afraid to step up to a challenge, while still knowing my place. I know that I have a lot of growing to do as a player and that there is so much to learn in my near future, but being passionate and outgoing are two characteristics that I feel I possess that cannot be taught.
