My name is Emma Scrivin and I have been playing soccer since I was about 8 to 9 years old. I am going into my senior year in high school and I have been on varsity for 3 years now. I was captain my sophomore and my junior year. I have been chosen as captain because I am good at taking directions, listening, and showing leadership throughout the team. To me, Soccer is more than a sport. It's a lifestyle. It is my passion. It is my therapy. Soccer is the reason for who I am today. It has taught me teamwork, bonding, time management, and to never give up. Over the years of playing, I have learned the value of the game rather than the outcome. In other words, the score at the end of the game is just a number that determines the team that has won, however, I think it is more important on how the game is played and the growth that came from it. It is important on how hard you play and if you gave it your all. I believe in working hard no matter the outcome. I would describe myself as someone who is fun to be around but knows how to stay focused and reach my goals.
