My name is Baylee Skyy Melgoza, a 17-year-old student-athlete from Kerman, California. As a junior at Kerman High School, I’ve just completed my third season on the Varsity Soccer Team and currently hold 43 goals in 59 games. After this past season, I was humbled and honored to be named the Fresno Bee Medium School Player of the Year—a recognition that reflects years of hard work, dedication, and passion for the sport I’ve loved since I was four years old.
Soccer has always been the driving force in my life, and it’s shaped who I am both on and off the field. My speed and explosiveness—refined through years of competing in track and field, where I’ve qualified for the Junior Olympics four times—set me apart. Whether in the heart of the Central Valley or on the road competing in states like North Carolina, Florida, and Michigan, I embrace the grind and thrive in high-pressure environments. My performance history on Athletic.net demonstrates my consistency, drive, and competitiveness across both sports.
What makes me different from other recruits is my ability to balance intensity with character. I’m a three-sport athlete, a club soccer player for CA Odyssey, and a committed student—all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I take pride in showing up early, staying late, and leading by example. I understand that being a collegiate athlete is not just about talent—it’s about work ethic, coachability, and the desire to grow every day.
My collegiate goal is to find a program where I can contribute meaningfully, continue to develop as a student-athlete, and help my team succeed on and off the field. I want to be part of a culture that challenges me, values accountability, and fosters growth. I'm excited for the opportunity to compete at the next level, represent my school with pride, and pursue a degree that sets me up for life after soccer.
