Sydney Busse '20 Recruiting Profile

Soccer has always been a passion for me, but that doesn't mean it's always been easy. From playing AYSO up until I was eight, and to now being on the highest level team in all of my club, it's been a journey I won't soon forget. My current coach, Dave Sabet, took me under his wing in my freshman year and knew I came from a lower level team, but had confidence in me that I could grow immensely. I went through confidence issues at first because I knew I wasn't as skilled as the other players on the team. But everyone came together and helped and watch me grow into the player I am today. I worked so hard throughout these years that I am now a starter and a leader to the team. My growth as a player showed how much I love the game of soccer and I've earned so much respect through that. Along with this, my coach Dave had the privilege to coach Alex Morgan when she first started club on Cypress FC. He's told me many times I have the characteristics, passion, and speed that she had while he was coaching her. I have grown so much as a player both physically and mentally in these past 3 and a half years, so I'm excited to see what my future holds.
