Since a young age, I’ve known that i’ve wanted to play soccer in college. My parents are both doctors, leading me to always strive for a job in the medical field. But, I have also had many different influences from role models which have sparked my interest in multiple fields.
I am a good candidate to be placed on a high-level college team because I am consistently wanting to better my skills and drive to be better. Whether it’s working out or training with friends, I always think that someone else out there is trying to become a better player than me and I should be trying to better myself at any given time. I am set apart from my fellow competitors because I know that there is always something that can be done about every mistake that I make. I always want my mom or someone filming me during my training and games, so I can see how I can fix my mistakes off the field, and I strive for perfection in all aspects of the game. My strong points are mainly what other goalkeepers don’t have; good footwork. I am a key component of my team's game because I am a main facilitator of the ball, and I act as a coach on the field, directing my players and helping the flow of the game. I constantly study the game of soccer, resulting in my impeccable ability to read the game. I am always having the ball passed back to me since I am reliable and have great composure under pressure. Another strong point that I have is my quick reactions. I am constantly on my toes and am able to react to the ball faster than most keepers. Even though I am shorter than the average keeper, my vertical jump is over the crossbar. I take every match to heart, improving every aspect of my game.
My number one goal for college is to get on a D1 or D2 team.
