Melanie Ramos '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Melanie Ramos and I am currently 17 years old and a senior at Murrieta Mesa High School. I’ve been playing soccer since the age of 7 and I play for Empire surf level NPL. My goal for this year is to commit to a college that best fits me and that includes a college that will provide the field of study I want to major in which is Kinesiology to help me become a sports medicine physician.

I have played every position and do well wherever I get placed. I started off playing in AYSO as a CB and this position has taught me how to lead my team, see the field of play, and give directions to help my teammates create playmaking opportunities. Later in my career I was moved up to FW due to my skill and dribbling level. During the same time I also played AM since I was both good at defending and attacking. I was always the playmaker who knew how to control the game and make the right passes and whenever I had no one to pass to I would take the opportunity to take the ball up and create 1v1 situations. Every single day I am doing something to help improve myself as a player, I will take any opportunity like multiple practices a day or personal training whenever I can.

All these positions have all taught me something different and created the player that I am today. I am a hard working player who likes to take charge of the field and communicate to help and encourage my teammates to do the best they can. I am a very respectful person who listens to whenever my coach is teaching or explaining something. Overall I am a hardworking, respectful, humble, coachable, open minded player.
