Ever since I was a little girl my dream has been to play college soccer. I grew up watching my Dad play in the NFL, so I have always understood what it takes to play at a high level.
When I was 13-14 years old I missed nearly an entire soccer season due to knee and back pain from growing over 6" in a short period of time. Ever since that happened I have done extra strength training to make sure it doesn't happen again. I typically wake up at 6 am one day a week to go to the gym with my Dad, workout with a private coach 1x per week (even in-season) and do conditioning at home on my own.
Two years ago I moved from the Bay Oaks Soccer Club to Mustang Soccer Club in Danville. I commute over 2 hours 3 days a week to make all three of our weekly practices. I am willing to make this sacrifice because of the quality of my new team, coach and club. I feel that it is preparing me to play at the next level and is challenging me.
As I continue to play at the top levels of ECNL and attend college ID camps I am positive that I have the ability to play Division 1 soccer. I look forward to continuing to improve my game, so I can find a great academic school with a strong soccer program.
