Melina Mantell '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Melina Mantell, a 2026 graduate of West Park High School in Roseville CA.  I am currently a Junior and a starter for our Varsity team. For Freshman and Sophomore years I was also a Starter for our JV team, and my club team is the Blues FC Soccer club (06/07G GA).

I have been playing soccer for over 11 years now, and I love not only the physical challenges, but the strategies and the technical aspect of the game as well. I've really developed my "soccer sense" and love when I can intercept passes and turn them into a strategic attack for our team.  

While I am very versatile and can play anywhere you like, I prefer playing as a midfielder as it gives me the space to be creative and utilize my team's strengths to our advantage. My main position for the Blues is as a defensive mid-fielder, but for HS soccer I'm an attacking mid-fielder.

I truly love soccer and would love to play on a collegiate level.  Thank you for your consideration!
