Hi Coaches! My name is Makaylah Alviar Gerling and I currently play on the U16 (2007) ECRL team at DMCV Sharks. I typically play the CDM, or CB. I am one of the captains on both my club and high school team. Additionally, I play for the varsity team at Torrey Pines High School. During my freshman season at TPHS, we won a D1 CIF title. During my sophomore season, we won the Palomar League title, and I received the coaches award at the end of the year banquet. I have been playing soccer since I was four years old and my passion for the sport has ultimately driven me to where I am at now. That of which consisted of an abundance of dedication, courage, bravery and drive. Off the field, I am actively involved in my community. I enjoy writing for my high schools' award winning newspaper, the Falconer as the sports editor; and taking part in school club meetings. Aside from this, I love hiking, baking, traveling the world, listening to music, and spending time with my loved ones.
