I first touched a soccer field when I was 3 years old, but I was far from where I am now, I spent more time picking daisies than kicking the ball. As I got older I was always asked what I did in my free time "soccer", "What to you do on the weekends?" "Soccer", "Why can't you come this weekend?" "soccer". I have an identity built around soccer because I identify with teamwork, leadership, hard work and encouragement. So many people have said it before "sports teach you life skills, blah blah blah" and I just hope that my skills in soccer will adjust my life. I want to learn about business and real estate at whatever school soccer takes me to. I balance soccer with school, and plan to do just that throughout the rest of my life. I plan to balance all things on the field, with teammates, coaches, school and community because balance is the basis of a quality athlete and most importantly; a quality person.
