Hello, my name is Morgan Pearson. I am currently a Senior at Dougherty Valley High School and I am a 2022 graduate. I have been playing soccer for about 13 years where I currently play on the Pleasanton RAGE 04 ECNL team where I have been the lead goal scorer of the team for the 2021 and 2019 soccer seasons. Growing up, I played lacrosse and soccer, but I knew from an early age that I wanted to pursue soccer. I have been apart of the NorCal PDP program from 2018 to 2020, where I have also been invited to compete in the North versus South PDP games in both 2018 and 2019. I have been chosen by my fellow coaches to be apart of the Rage Leadership Academy in 2015 as well as 2017, where I learned the importance of being a leader not only on the field but off of the pitch as well. Through my experiences within the Leadership Academy, not only did I learn the importance of being a leader on and off the field, I learned the core values that made up and strengthened a great leader . Therefore, I demonstrate my leadership by my strong work ethic during practices and games, good sportsmanship, and my positive mentality. Along with playing on my club team, I also play high school soccer. I have been a starter on the Varsity women's soccer team at Dougherty Valley High School since Freshman year, where I received the 2021 Offensive MVP award and was the lead goal scorer of the team my junior year. My goals that keep me motivated for the future are to receive a good college education and to play at a college with a strong and competitive soccer program.
I have a strong passion for the game and strive to push myself to always perform better than my best during practices as well as in games. Off the pitch, I work hard academically and wish to find a school that pushes me not only physically but also mentally to strive for success. I would love to play at the division one or the division two level, however I am keeping my options open to playing at the division three level. Academically, I am looking to pursue a major in Criminal Justice with a focus in Forensic Science and Psychology.
Off of the field, I enjoy volunteering my time into helping others, spending time with my loved ones, and discovering new hobbies. In January of 2020, I was interviewed and chosen to be a camp counselor at a fifth grade outdoor education camp that I had also attended when I was in fifth grade. From early on, I have had a passion to work with younger children and to help them gain amazing experiences. Which is why I also volunteered to coach a group of young girls how to play soccer at a bulldog soccer camp with a former coach of mine as well as being the assistant coach for my younger sister's U8 soccer team. When I am not playing soccer and have completed school assignments, I enjoy going on long walks and hikes with my dog and discovering new hobbies such as baking and learning how to play golf . I am eager to look forward to welcoming the challenges of being a student-athlete and I look forward to continue playing soccer at a high level. Thank you for your time!
