Making Varsity as a freshman at one of the most competitive high schools in the area was a great start to my high school career. It allowed me to experience being a student-athlete and experience the game from a whole new perspective. High school soccer is substantially different from ECNL. Both are very competitive but rely on different aspects of the game. I got to learn from new coaches and new players from all different ages with different styles of play. Playing Varsity High school soccer as a freshman challenged me to find a new way to become a leader. It helped me overcome diverse obstacles that very few freshman had to deal with. Overall, I have become a better athlete, student, and person from it.
I am very fortunate to be apart of such an amazing high school program as well as club. ECNL has allowed me to play against some of the best players and teams in the nation. Playing on my ECNL team, it has driven me to want to become the best player on the field and to play soccer at the most competitive level possible. I am looking for a program where I can make a difference on the team and in the community. I want to make an impact and I hope I will find a program that will meet my academic and athletic needs.
