Where I come from people honestly don’t care about soccer. But that hasn’t been bringing me down it’s actually been pushing me to play harder. The high school I play soccer for doesn’t really take soccer serious but I still play to my highest potential. Also I still come to practice with a positive attitude and try to change people’s viewpoints about the sport. Playing this sport for years not only made me better but pushed me to becoming a better leader not only on the field but off as well. It’s helped me find better viewpoints academically too.
Since I want to study nursing being a leader is really important because you have to support a lot people and guide them to success. So, playing varsity and being a captain since I was a sophomore has taught me a lot of academical skills.
