My name is Lindsay Walsh and I am very interested in pursuing soccer in college. I have played soccer my whole life, and when I was younger I played outside midfielder mostly. I picked up goalkeeping around 7th or 8th grade, and never stopped. Soccer has become a big part of my life and I have really grown into my position. Over the last two years, starting varsity for my high school team has helped me to adapt to change and handle different situations thrown my way. I use my speed from my years as a field player to come off my line and stop key breakaways from becoming goals. I am not afraid to come out and do whatever means needed to stop a goal. I am 5'4", but I don't let my height get in the way from stopping goals above my head by using my athletic ability to jump and compensate. In terms of improvement, I would like to work on my communicating skills with my teammates and my foot skills. I am in multiple clubs and organizations within my school, along with a premier soccer team and a travel softball team. Academically, my schedules have consisted of a few AP and advanced classes, to challenge myself and get the most out of my education. My GPA is around a 94 and have made High Honor roll my first marking period of junior year, with a history of making honor roll.
