From the time I can remember, I was always either kicking a soccer ball, throwing a baseball, shooting a basketball or throwing a football. I started playing Rec soccer at 4 years old. At seven years old, I started to really love soccer and started to play on the travel soccer. I was hooked. I realized I was very good at it. From then on, although I have played several other sports, soccer has been my passion. In fact, my parents tell me that my first word was ball.
Over the years, I worked hard to become the best player possible. I spent countless hours kicking into the rebounder, dribbling in the yard and challenging anyone who would take me on. Once I moved to club soccer at 9 years old, I realized I was already able to see the game develop and anticipate what was going to happen, or the next move to make. That, along with my continued training and watching any game that was on, helped me become a better player. After years of playing at the club level, it was time for me to move on to high school. I trained harder than ever to prepare for my freshman year. My training paid off, as I earned a starting spot on the varsity soccer team as a 13 year old freshman. I have been fortunate enough to start every game all the way through my sophomore year.
I believe I would be a great candidate for any collegiate level soccer team because I work hard every day, but also work smart on the field trying to anticipate one or two steps ahead on offense and defense. I am dedicated to being the best I can be for myself and my teammates. I can play both aggressively or with more finesse depending upon the situation. Having the ability to play in the midfield and forward while being ambidextrous is a huge benefit for me, helping me to equally move, pass and shoot from the left or right side.
I am a leader on and off the field, am always looking to help someone if they need, and I give 100% at everything I do. I have an immense passion for the game and do everything I can to get better with each game/practice. I have a keen eye for little things on the field and can predict the next move of the other team very well. I believe the key to success for the best teams is to have strong teamwork and a true belief in each other.
