Lataya Simmons '23 Recruiting Profile

As an athlete who has played soccer since I was little I have learned a lot about the game. From the sacrifices you have to make to the leader you have to be. The highlight of my career was winning district champs my sophomore year. The situation that led me to be determined to help my team win districts was the fact that we lost districts the year before. It was a real eye opener and I know what I had to do my sophomore year for my team. The loss not only helped me grow as a person but also as a player.  It made me want to be even better than I was before, and keep progressively growing to the point at which I can play at the college level. 

I am more than grateful to be with the program I am with. Through these programs I have learned the value of learned the values of leadership, commitment, and teamwork. I am looking for a college program that suits me as a student and athlete. I have the talent to compete at the college level as well as the leadership, work ethic, and character. As a player who has lead the same club team for the past 5 years I know I am capable of being a leader and a team player. I am determined to make an impact on the college that best suits me.
