Hailey Jones '23 Recruiting Profile

My family and I moved to Ireland when I was 7 years old. Moving to a village with no local soccer team (for my age group) except the high school team, was a challenge that I had to tackle on my own... literally.  

Gaelic football, a mixture of sports such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, etc…was soon the highlight of my years spent in Ireland. Throughout my 6 years in Ireland, I accomplished many great achievements; having the role of captain for my club team and also in the later years, captain of my junior/senior high school Gaelic football team and Soccer team.  I was also proud to be on a 30 player roster for Meath, Ireland. I believe my time in Ireland made me a stronger athlete and more diverse soccer player and for that, I am truly thankful.

I am a dedicated soccer player and can't help but keep a positive attitude on and off the field. I like to learn from others and contribute in putting great effort into my team and on the field. There is always room for improvement in any athlete and I welcome it! I feel that an athlete should always be working, never give up and keep striving to be better (physically and mentally). I enjoy motivating my team mates and love playing the game.  I am fast and I never give up! Setting my sights high and ready and willing to put in the work! Let’s go! ❤️⚽️🙌🏻
