Hello, my name is Makenna Geach. I have been playing soccer for 12 years and have played at the competitive GA level for the last four. I have always been interested in sports from a young age, however, soccer was the one that fit me best. Over time, soccer has taught me how to be calm and confident in stressful situations which has carried into my personal life.
I have experience playing all attacking positions Midfield/Forward, and able to use both feet playing all directions. My ball handling, distribution and defensive skills are what my coaches have said are my best attributes. Six years ago, my family transitioned from Florida to Georgia at which time I was exposed to more opportunities in competitive soccer playing against both regional and national competition.
Over the past 8 years I have worked with special needs kids as a Special Olympics soccer volunteer. In that time, several of the teams that I was involved with in Florida and Georgia won Gold Medals at their respective State Games. Sharing my soccer knowledge and coaching these athletes has been a very rewarding experience.
I hold myself to a high academic standard and my grades continue to reflect that. I am driven to continue my growth and development both in soccer and academics and look forward to exploring future opportunities at the collegiate level.
