My name is Lily Foster, and it has been my dream to play college soccer. I want to earn my way to play the starting goalkeeper, and I will work as hard as necessary to get there. I aspire to turn heads when people see me working on the field, and I want to earn all players respect in the process. I am a good candidate and an even better recruit for college level soccer because I work hard to earn my position. Nothing should be just handed to me. I will not let my team down because I play for a higher purpose than myself, such as the girls surrounding me, and my school or club rooting for me. I strive for excellence on and off the field, and I seize every opportunity given to me to prove myself, academically and athletically. Academics are just as important as athletics, and like soccer, school requires hard work and dedication, and I do plan to put in the time and money in order to get a great education. To me, soccer is not just a sport. It is an example of a lifestyle. The team has to work together to get success accomplished, and no position is lesser than another. With that being said, each position has to put in the work and set the example to their teammates. I want to be on a college team to do just that: play for my school by working hard and earning the number one jersey.
