Korey Kronforst '12 Recruiting Profile

Hi! I'm Korey Kronforst and I am currently a junior playing varsity soccer for Cary-Grove High School in Cary, Illinois which is a town outside of Chicago. I have been playing soccer since I was five years old and began playing club soccer at the age of ten. I am 5'5" and 120 pounds and I consider myself very strong and athletic. I entered high school hoping to be a three sport athlete. I made varsity soccer and volleyball as a freshman and JV basketball where I was the captain of the team. Unfortunately, playing three sports was very time consuming, so I chose to stop playing basketball to focus on soccer and volleyball. While playing on varsity volleyball, I experienced a state championship in 2009 and a runner-up state championship in 2010. The experience in both situations made me a better athlete and I carry that over to the soccer field. Playing volleyball did not allow time for me to participate in ODP, but I work very hard in my high school and club seasons to continuously improve my soccer skills. I am one of those players that commits 150% in everything that I do and push others to do the same. My freshman year in soccer, I was elected to the all-conference team. In my sophmore year, I made all-conference again; additionally was elected to the first team all-area and voted by the area coaches to the honorable mention all-sectional team. Junior year, I was again chosen all-conference, Ist team all-area and was selected by the coaches for all-sectional. My goals for next year is to make the all-state team. Currently I am open to location and size of potential colleges or universities to attend. I would like to major in either sports medicine or education. My main focus is to attend a school where I could make an impact on the soccer team because it has always been my dream to play in college. I hope you find my videos and stats exciting!
