Leah Filskov '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi I am Leah! I have been playing soccer since I could walk and have always aspired to play in College. Coaches have told me my strengths are my Coachability, team work, calmness on the ball, and game sense. I am very commited to soccer, and have always had good sympathy and encouragement for my teammates. I have played with Firebirds SC since I was in the 4th grade. My team and I started off at level D and has now made it all the way up to state premiership II. We only lost 1 game that season. On my high school team I was hurt my freshmen year and was put in junior varsity because the coach had seen me play before. While being injured I still showed up to all the practices and games. 

I take my academics seriously and always make sure I am caught up on my work before I play.  I have always pushed myself with difficult classes even before high school. I was put into the highest math class for my grade, and was apart of a spanish class that started in 6th grade, where
