Soccer has been a major part of my life since the very beginning. My sister, who is four years older than me, started playing the sport when I was just a toddler. Through my eyes, I saw her as an inspiration and I wanted to be exactly like her, so I started playing soccer too! I joined a community coed team at the age of six. Immediately, I fell in love with the game. My neighbor also influenced my passion for soccer since he was the director of coaching for the Cutters Soccer Club. He taught me different skills such as the cruyff, step over, zidane and scissor, as well as how to juggle the ball. In addition, I would spend countless hours playing World Cup with his children in the neighborhood park. I learned that soccer was not only fun, but also very competitive. After several seasons of playing with Cutters, I decided to play for a more advanced club called Alliance FC. I wanted to further improve my soccer ability and challenge myself on a higher level. As a center back, our team ended up winning the Great Lakes Premier League two years in a row. Next year, our team will be part of the ECNL regional! I am excited for the new opportunities! On my high school team, I was double rostered as a freshman and was the starting right back as a sophomore. We made it to semi-state and were undefeated during our regular conference 2021 season. I strive to do just as well or better for my last two high school seasons. Ultimately, I am dedicated to the sport and looking to continue my soccer career in college.
Academics are just as important to me as athletics. Enhancing my education is one of my top priorities. Currently, as an incoming junior, I have a 4.3 GPA. I always push myself by signing up for honors and AP classes. I know I am capable of succeeding in these challenging courses because I am responsible, hard working, and diligent. After high school, I am considering pursuing an architectural degree, science major, or a career in the medical field.
