Personal Statement
My name is Christina Jouaneh, I am from the Middle East specifically in Jordan. I have been playing this beautiful game for the past 12 years of my life and I have grown so much as a player.
My position is center back/wingback. While I started as a striker in my youth, maturing and developing, I found my strength as a defender. The wingback role, connecting two positions I love, has always held a special place in my heart.
Growing up in Jordan where women's involvement in soccer was unusual, I faced challenges as a young player. Yet, upon joining my school's football team, recognition followed, leading me to become a part of the Amman Football Club and later representing my country in the under-14, under-17, and under-20 national teams.
As a player, I embody a strong work ethic and unwavering commitment to the game, consistently striving for improvement with each match. I maintain a 100% focus during practices, dedicating myself to learning and evolving on the pitch. Positioned as a center-back, leadership is natural, and I take on the responsibility of guiding my team to victory, staying vigilant of my surroundings. To me, recovery is a priority, and recognizing its significance in a player's performance is vital. The invaluable lessons from the football field transcend the game, raising determination and confidence. These principles fuel my positive approach to challenges and inspire a commitment to excellence in all aspects of my life.
Balancing soccer and academics has presented challenges, yet I am strong in my determination to excel in both domains. Efficient time management has been key as I am utilizing every available minute productively. Despite the exhaustion, my commitment remains persistent, driven by the pursuit of high academic achievements and top-tier performance in soccer.
Finally, I am determined in my commitment to use the strength and perseverance I've captivated through soccer in my upcoming adventures, encouraging positive change and creating long-lasting connections.
