Daphne is a midfielder with a good tactical eye and she has a good understanding of the game. One of her strong points is to open up spaces for herself, but even more for her teammates, she is always looking around what’s happening at the other side of the field. In addition she has an excellent free kick and is a great header.
At the age of 15 Daphne made her official debut for the Dutch National team U15. This summer she competed in the U19 European Championships in Switzerland.
At the age of 15 she was selected by CTO, a Dutch Development Program for the most talented players of the country, practicing 6 times a week, playing in a boys league and playing friendly matches against women’s teams of the highest league. Last year she transferred to VV Alkmaar where she is currently playing for the first women's team in the Eredivisie (highest Dutch Level),
Daphne graduated high school at the Johan Cruyff College (special school only for Elite athletes) in Amsterdam in June 2018. In addition she completed her Official trainer UEFA C License and the Personal Trainer A license in her last year. Daphne currently is enrolled fulltime at a Dutch university majoring in sport management. She is scheduled to take her TOEFL in the fall of 2018.
