Personal Statement
Although I've played soccer since second grade, my passion for soccer truly sparked in fifth grade when I began to take playing seriously, started playing with the boys after school, and when I found an amazing team dynamic with the group of girls I still play with today. On the field, with a soccer ball beneath my feet, is when I feel my most free, and it's when I'm truly able to live life in the moment.
I am a great dribbler who is confident with the ball, and am able to map and create plays on the field that will lead to a change in the favor of my team during a game. I am extremely hardworking both on and off the field, getting in practice at home in addition to team practices. I encourage my teammates, and hold optional off-season practices for us to improve as a team. I am driven to improve, and always there to listen to my coaches in order to become the best player I can, putting in the work towards doing so everyday.
I also work hard off the field, doing my best in every class and putting in the work to achieve my 4.0 GPA unweighted GPA. Outside of school, I look for volunteer opportunities and participate in extracurricular clubs such as the National Art Honors Society. I always strive to balance my student-athlete life in a way that I can exceed in both areas.
Ever since my love for soccer sparked in fifth grade, my dream has been to play high-level college soccer in the U.S., and to play alongside other girls who are as driven and passionate as me in the sport, and to share my love of soccer with other athletes in a diverse, large community.
