As a great team player, setting high standards inside a soccer field has helped me achieve exceptional leadership skills that help me in my daily routine. As team captain for my high school varsity team, I always strive for the best results on and off the field. Last season helping my teammates win the International Schools Sports Tournament with a goal during the final and with the only shot in goal for the entire team during the game. As a competitive and experienced player, I always try my best to help the rookie players by giving advice and showing them confidence is key to success. I began playing soccer in my youth, when I was around five years old, by playing with my brother and his friends, who were all five years older than me. As the only girl participating in the soccer games, I developed several skills that helped me become more potent as an athlete and woman.
During the pandemic, I battled with mental health conditions. Soccer was my main scapegoat as it kept me active and mentally stronger to strive to combat the surging obstacles and finally overcome the difficulties and become a stronger woman ready to face any struggles in life with a more prepared mentality.
